The Collections application area and workspace is used to handle the collection of payments for accounts that have been billed. The tabs and Quick Action applications allow users to perform collection actions, mark bad debt accounts, and select and release refunds.
The Collection Event tab allows the user to select billing events that require work, populating the Open & Pending Actions child tab and others. Other tabs can be used to update patient, insurance, guarantor, and visit information.
Quick Action options allow users to perform account balance transfers, enter payments, rebill a billing event, mark accounts for bad debt review, and mark and release refunds for accounts with credit balances.
The Collections workspace gives the user access to work queues, tabs, and Quick Actions related to collections. The data panel displays patient data (name, status, balance, etc.) and the User Productivity chart.
The Collections workspace is used to work actions for collection events, add adjustments and/or payments, and update various patient, insurance, and visit information. The Collection Event tab allows the user to select collection events that need to be worked. The EOB/Denials tab is used to view claim and service line denials.
Quick Actions allow users to rebill a billing event, transfer a balance, post payments (patient and insurance), handle bad debt, and manage refunds.
The Collections application area has multiple scorecards that measure productivity by work queue and by event.
