A procedure can require a primary surgeon to be associated with it before the visit can be abstracted by enabling the Location Registry Value key PX_SURG_CHECK. When the key is enabled and a procedure is associated with the visit, at least one surgeon must be associated with the procedure. If not, an error message will display if the visit is abstracted with a completed status.
If the user has the security right PX_SURG_OVRRD, a warning message displays but allows the user to continue.
For this configuration, use the key(s) in Location Registry Maintenance with the settings described in the table below.
Location Registry Key | Description | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
PX_SURG_CHECK | Determines whether RCM Cloud® will check to ensure that a surgeon is assigned to any procedure that is associated with a visit in Abstracting. | |||||
