There is no way to transfer orders from one patient to another. Any orders incorrectly entered on a patient will need to be discontinued and re-ordered on the correct patient.

 
In order to reassign the notes to the correct medical record for this patient the following procedures will need to be followed. Each note has to be reassigned separately. After each note has been reassigned they will show up in the correct patient medical record as *unsigned* notes. They will need to be signed again to commit them to the medical record under the correct MR#. It requires the user class of CHIEF,MIS in order to perform these steps.

 
1) TEST an option not in your menu
2) TIU MAIN MENU MGR
3) 1 Individual Patient Document
4) Enter MR# where notes currently reside
5) Enter date of notes
6) Select Note that needs to be reassigned to correct MR#
7) Select option to REASSIGN
8) Confirm reassignment
9) Enter Signature Code for person doing the reassignment (can not complete reassignment without entering signature code)!
10) Select correct patient by entering the MR# you want the notes to be assigned to.
11) You should be able to <ENTER> through the encounter update information.
12) Confirm that the note is now showing in the correct MR# .
13) Repeat steps until all notes have been reassigned correctly.
