HOW TO SET UP PROVIDER RECIPIENTS FOR NOTIFICATIONS
(ISSUE: Primary Physician on a Patient Visit is getting ‘Notifications’ of other physician’s unsigned orders “Order requires signature”.)
If you want to disable the receipt of the notification to the ATTENDING and PRIMARY then you would remove the A and P from the VALUE field. So you would change the VALUE to be OT (ordering provider, and patient care team).

Set of codes indicating default provider recipients of a notification by their title or relationship to the patient. Notifications can be set up with any or all of the following codes:
P (Primary Provider): deliver notification to the patient’s Primary Provider.
A (Attending Physician): deliver notification to the patient’s Attending Physician.
T (Patient Care Team): deliver notification to the patient’s primary care Team.
O (Ordering Provider): deliver notification to the provider who placed the order which trigger the notification.
M (PCMM Team): deliver notification to users/providers linked to the patient via PCMM Team Position assignments.
E (Entering User): deliver notification to the user/provider who entered the order’s most recent activity.
R (PCMM Primary Care Practitioner): deliver notification to the patient’s PCMM Primary Care Practitioner.
S (PCMM Associate Provider): deliver notification to the patient’s PCMM Associate Provider.
D (IHS Primary Care Provider): deliver notification to the patient’s Primary Care Provider.
I (IHS Primary Team): deliver notification to the patient’s Primary Team.
G (IHS Designated Providers): deliver notification to all of the patient’s Designated Providers.
The providers, physicians and teams must be set up properly and accurately
for the correct individuals to receive the notification.

HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS IN CAREVUE
(ISSUE: Getting unwanted notifications)
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Options
3. Click on the Notification tab
4. You can Scroll through the list and turn ON/OFF which Notification you need.
Exception: If the comment says “Mandatory” then no Edits can be made.
5. Click on the box and click “Apply” and “OK” to exit.
HOW TO REMOVE PENDING NOTIFICATIONS FROM CAREVUE
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Options
3. Click on the Notification tab
4. Click on “Remove Pending Notifications”
5. A CAUTION warning will appear to let you know what will happen if you use this option. If this is what you want to do then click “YES” otherwise click “NO”
6. Click “OK” to exit
HOW TO REMOVE A SURROGATE FOR NOTIFICATIONS
(ISSUE: User is not receiving any notifications or another user is getting all of someone else’s notifications)
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Options
3. Click on the Notification tab
4. Click on the Surrogate Settings
5. If there is a Surrogate defined, click the “Remove Surrogate” button to clear it.
6. Click “OK” to exit
