Select Team List Management Menu Option: CRE Create/Add to Team List
A team list is a list containing patients related to several providers.
These providers are the list’s users. You may now create a new team list
or add autolinks, users and/or patients to an existing team list. Autolinks
automatically add or remove patients with ADT movements. Users on the list
may receive notifications regarding patients on the same list. Please prefix
your list name with ‘TEAM’ or ‘SERVICE’ (e.g. TEAM7B, SERVICECARDIOLOGY.)

Enter team list name: SAMPLE TEAM LIST
Are you adding ‘SAMPLE TEAM LIST’ as a new OE/RR LIST (the 549TH)? No// Y (Yes)
This is the type of list being defined. List type currently includes team and personal.
o Team lists
o TM – Manually maintained (addition and removal)
o TA – Maintained by Autolinks for addition and removal of patients.
Autolinks will populate and remove entries from the list with ADT movements from the sending ADT system. This is the most common/preferred configuration for Medsphere clients.
o MRAL – Manual removal of patients from the list with Autolink addition of patients to the list.
Manual Autolink will populate the list with entries from the sending ADT system, but the entries would need to be manually removed.
o Personal lists
o P – Manually maintained (addition and removal)
Personal lists could be 100% maintained in CareVue, so little need to build them out through this option.

Choose from:
P PERSONAL PATIENT
TA TEAM PATIENT AUTOLINKED
TM TEAM PATIENT MANUAL
MRAL MANUAL REMOVAL/AUTOLINK ADDITION
Enter type: TA TEAM PATIENT AUTOLINKED
Enter one of the following:
W.EntryName to select a WARD LOCATION
R.EntryName to select a ROOM-BED
P.EntryName to select a NEW PERSON
S.EntryName to select a FACILITY TREATING SPECIALTY
C.EntryName to select a HOSPITAL LOCATION

To see the entries in any particular file type <Prefix.?>
If you simply enter a name then the system will search each of
the above files for the name you have entered. If a match is
found the system will ask you if it is the entry that you desire.
However, if you know the file the entry should be in, then you can
speed processing by using the following syntax to select an entry:
<Prefix>.<entry name>
or
<Message>.<entry name>
or
<File Name>.<entry name>
Also, you do NOT need to enter the entire file name or message
to direct the look up. Using the first few characters will suffice.

Enter team autolink: GROUNDS,KATIE <– In this case, I am creating an AUTOLINK List based on a USER from the NEW PERSON file. My other options include by a location, treating specialty or room bed. NEW PERSON AutoLinks are the most common/preferred configuration option of Medsphere clients.

Searching for a WARD LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Each type of possible autolink is searched if a prefix is not utilized.
Searching for a ROOM-BED, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a NEW PERSON, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a FACILITY TREATING SPECIALTY, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a HOSPITAL LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a WARD LOCATION
Searching for a ROOM-BED
Searching for a NEW PERSON
GROUNDS,KATIE KG MEDSPHERE STAFF
…OK? Yes// YES (Yes)
PRIMARY OR ATTENDING: A attending
[ADT movements linked to GROUNDS,KATIE will now automatically add patients to this list.]
Adding patients linked to GROUNDS,KATIE…
No linked patients found. <– Because user GROUNDS,KATIE does not currently have any patients admitted with her as the ATTENDING, no patients were added to this list, but future admissions with GROUNDS,KATIE as the ATTENDING will add the PATIENT’S to this team list.
Enter team autolink: STUCK,ERIN
Searching for a WARD LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a ROOM-BED, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a NEW PERSON, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a FACILITY TREATING SPECIALTY, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a HOSPITAL LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)

STUCK,ERIN ES MEDSPHERE STAFF
…OK? Yes// YES (Yes)
PRIMARY OR ATTENDING: P primary
[ADT movements linked to STUCK,ERIN will now automatically add patients to this list.]
Adding patients linked to STUCK,ERIN…
No linked patients found.
Adding a second USER to the Autolink Team means that PATIENT’S admitted to either STUCK or GROUNDS will be on the same list. This is where you start to see the “Team” concept develop.
Enter team autolink: VEGA,NICOLE
Searching for a WARD LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a ROOM-BED, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a FACILITY TREATING SPECIALTY, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)
Searching for a HOSPITAL LOCATION, (pointed-to by AUTOLINK)

PRIMARY OR ATTENDING: P primary
[ADT movements linked to VEGA,NICOLE will now automatically add patients to this list.]
Adding patients linked to VEGA,NICOLE…
No linked patients found.

At this point we have one AUTOLINK TEAM LIST called SAMPLE TEAM LIST that will display a single list of PATIENT’S admitted under any one of the three USERS defined.

Enter team provider/user: <– This prompt is used to define who has access to this list as well as who
receives the notifications for the team.
You may enter a new USER, if you wish
This is a user that belongs to the list. If the list is of type TEAM PATIENT or PERSONAL PATIENT, users on the list may receive clinical notifications for patients also on the list.
Enter team provider/user: HALL,TRACEY L TLH REGISTERED NURSE
Enter team provider/user: BAIR,CAROL A CAB LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE
Enter team provider/user: NUNN,VICKY L VLN REGISTERED NURSE
Enter team provider/user: BENNETT,ALLEN R ARB 78695 TRAINER
Enter team provider/user: GROUNDS,KATIE KG MEDSPHERE STAFF
Enter team provider/user: VEGA,NICOLE MEDSPHERE STAFF
Enter team provider/user: STUCK,ERIN ES MEDSPHERE STAFF
Enter subscription status:
This field stores either a Y or N (for YES or NO) entry and is used in CPRS to determine whether or not
individual users will be allowed to add or remove themselves as members of the team list if it is of
autolink type.
Choose from:
Y YES
N NO
Enter subscription status: YES

After creating the above TEAM, three patients were admitted – one to each of the Autolink users – GROUNDS, STUCK and VEGA.

At this time, the patients AUTOLINKED to the team appear on the list. Only the teams to which you are a USER will appear on the TEAM/PERSONAL section.

Displayed are the TEAMS that you are currently on, as well as the patients associated to that team and any other users. You may also choose to SUBSCRIBE to any additional teams that have been configured to allow end-user membership addition. In this example, I will SUBSCRIBE to TEAM CARDIOPULMONARY.
